Period correct camp trailers?

Anyone have a camp trailer the same year of your truck that you still use? Cuz when I get my truck done some day I think it would be really cool to pull a camp trailer the same year as my truck. Please post some pics if ya got' em.

Don't have pics but it's an old Coleman tent trailer - pop up. It's seen some miles, Yosemite, grand canyon, RT66, etc... Still a nice unit.

Re: Period correct camp trailers?

I dont have a camper, but I do have a 74 Dixie boat with a 72 Evinrude I pull with my 72 Cheyene.

The boat is green just like the truck (not the exact shade).

Re: Period correct camp trailers?

I've been thinking the same thing. I found some old trailers on CL awhile back, and thought it would be cool to find one to match my C20.

Re: Period correct camp trailers?

I'm interested too. Pull behind or slide on camper would be good. Those aluminum slide on campers are classic but heavy and I don't want to make my truck work hard any more, it's hard working days are over. Many years ago dad had a camper on back and a heavy boat pulled behind and I don't remember him ever having trouble w it (a 1971 c20), I'd like to see pics of truck and camper/trailer too. Thanks

Re: Period correct camp trailers?

I like the Serro Scotty trailers They even make new retro looking ones but are a little pricey for there size. http://www.scottytrailers.com/trailergallery.php I believe the Highlander is around $15,000
