Window trim question and WIW - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Picked up some window trim and dash piece? in swap deal and have been told it was from '53/54? Can anyone tell me and also WIW?

The curved piece is of course 54 but the door ones I would need to see the back side to know. And that would only narrow it down to 51-54 and 47-50.

Any particular area(s) on the backside?

The whole thing, if the "whiskers" along the bottom stop three quarters of the way and the where are some cuts on the inside to allow room for a vent window, it's for a 51-54. There were some with and without vent windows in 51 but basically it's a 51-54 (and first series 55).

Go to Ebay and look at "Completed auctions" and you will see what they have sold for. The short answer is "not much". I have a pile of those frames myself that I will be cutting up for my top chop. But every truck came with them, they never get damaged, they don't rust out, they don't get dented, so there are a LOT of them out there.

Now the the windshied trim piece is another story they aren't repoped and it looks like the little tabs that clip on the back side are as some say rare as hens teeth
