A few decisions
Hey everyone, so right now ive got my 86 thats getting fixed when i get some tax money.
I posted about how im going to build my dad a truck got the shortbed box , a motor and maybe transfer cases and transmissions so far. Ive got my 55 wagon , which pretty much going to be a lifetime project And heres the one im really wanting some opinions on... Ive thought a little on what id like to build with my daughter and my grandad inlaw Has a 1974 lt camaro that my mother inlaw wrecked when she was 18ni think shes now 47n I think, well its been up on blocks for a while in the woods ever since but is in good shape other than the wreck damage the car has been a sore subject ever since but theres no chance she'll ever fix it she has health problems and the grandad pretty much owns the car im wondering what yoy guys think i dont see the purpose in a camaro eventually rotting away. So yes or no? For me it has meaning since its been in the family. |

Re: A few decisions
In the south, if that camaro has been sitting outside that long you may want to take a long hard look at it ...itd be hard to imagine it doesnt have some serious unseen rust issues
And those sore family subjects can also cause alot of problems...

I’d call around some scrap yards and find the one that will charge you the least to remove it for you.

Re: A few decisions
I'd pass on the Ratmaro. Unibody with rust is a rabbit hole

I would clean all of the litter off of and around it and see what it really looks like. Check the trunk floor (pull up the mats), floorboards, and all lower body panels really close. It doesn't look like it is sitting on the ground so it might surprise you.... It would also depend on how many critters have burrowed under it and pushed piles of dirt up against the frame and floorboards, causing it to rust. LockDoc
