Turn Signals and hazards but no brake or running lights.

I recently swapped to disc brakes and swapped in a stock steering column in my 69 gmc 1500. Now I have no running lights when the switch is pulled and no dash lights. But my bright light indicator is still working and my gauges are working. My hazards were working but they keeping blowing 15 amp fuses. Yesterday on the way home my dash light came on with my hazards and were blinking at the same speed. I have both turn signals. But I have no brake lights. I’ve replaces both my head light switch and my brake light switch and fuses. Any ideas? I thought it may be in the turn signal switch but I attached a spare one and nothing changed.

Re: Turn Signals and hazards but no brake or running lights.

Electrical things acting weird, fusses blowing, sounds like a pinched wire, bad ground, loose connection, or all the above. Did they all work before the swap? If so sounds like something wonky in the column wiring harness. The lights to the front are fed thru the firewall connector and the lights to the rear are fed thru another connector, but near the trans hump, if you need to trace wires back from the lights. Search the board for a wiring schematic ans steering column rebuild pictures.
