Has any one heard of this radio?

I am still a long way off from working on my interior, but when I do get to that point, I was planning to install a USA-6 radio to keep a semi stock appearance to my truck. However, all this talk about there quality has me concerned. I found this radio from a Classic Parts Catalog. It is a Kenwood model 801 its a Kenwood [clone] so it has to be good, right? Does anyone have any feed back on this radio?

Re: Has any one heard of this radio?

My friends Custom Autosound deck was dissapointing, and when they refused to help, we installed it in the trash. It was pretty much a $25 receiver with a new plastic face, and a $150 price tag.

Yea thats what thought until i saw the word "clone". I'm not exactly sure what they mean by that. either it's a Kenwood or it isn't. BTW I don't know what I would do with the cassette deck besides not use it.

Sounds like the Autosound deck is out of the question as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the advise.

Re: Has any one heard of this radio?

That's depressing. I was thinking of getting one to keep my interior looking stock but get the modern technology for satelite radio or my IPod.

Anyone know of any other radios that look like the original ones (somewhat close) and have the new technology?
