Console for aftermarket Low back buckets with car 4 speed

I've had no luck finding a console short enough in length to fit between a set of aftermarket bucket seats in my 67 C10. The whole problem is the 4 speed transmission I have is for a car and sets back further. Anyone with ideas?

Yea I looked at those. I think the large console made for auto trans under the dash may work between the seats in my case. It's 16" long and about 12" wide. I wonder with direction would look best? Cup holders towards the front or towards the rear? I have a long straight hurst shifter with no bend approx 15" high off the floor so your arm is at a perfect 90deg bend.

Do you have a pic of the space you are working with?

I used the shorty and mounted my subwoofer under it and then used 2x4's to space it up to where I needed it. I'm running a TKO 600 trans with the engine in the rear L-6 position.

Those are the exact same buckets I used but my shifter is straight and longer than that. I've looked at using that console but it didn't look like it would fit with the stock gas tank. Do you have the tank behind the seat still?

Okay I'm a little slow...lol. I understand after reading your post a little better. Thanks for the pic and input. I think that's the same direction I'm going to go. By the way that interior looks awesome.

Thanks!!

I do still have the stock tank, and I have probably 6 inches between the carpet cover on the tank and the back of the console. I store a tool bag there. When I built it I set it up so I could rest my elbow on the console and my hand on the shifter easily and still clear the shifter all the way back. I have about 2" between the shifter and the console in 4th gear.

So with that shorty you should be able to make it fit.
