air ride
I have a 69 C10 that I am thinking about installing an air ride system on but I am not able to find a set up for the rear, my chevy C10 came with rear leaf springs and and as far as I can tell it is the same as the GMC's of its era, can anyone tell me what they have used on their GMC or chevy with the rear leafs like mine? thank you...

Re: air ride
Trailing arm conversion or custom link setup. As far as air management one word

Re: air ride
I was about to - I'll start another thread but I'm not sure if you can even run air ride on leafs! Here's my system, but I've got a Longhorn with leaf springs...

If you really mean "air ride", then as posted above, you will need to install a trailing arm conversion or a link set up. 72mario, do they just make a conversion kit or would the OP need to buy the cross member, trailing arms and coil sprint housing? I know that the spring perches and trailing arm mounting pads on the rear housing are at different angles and maybe locations.

Re: air ride
I mean air bags... I understand and know about the air bag kits for the trailing arm systems but why do the whole conversion over to trailing arms??? I know the popular opinion is that trailing arms give you a much better ride bu is that the only option for installing air bags? newer trucks with leafs get airbags all the time so my question was if anyone knows about an airbag system for a leaf truck in our years?

Re: air ride
Easiest explanation is you will need trailing arms to keep your axle in place. Your leaf springs are doing that. Once you remove the leaf springs there is nothing to keep the axle in place. There are several threads on trailing arm conversion.

Re: air ride
You could remove all the leaves except the main and then mount the bags between the frame and axle. The main leaf will hold your rear axle in place. Bag mounting would be Similar to what the overload bags are on a leaf spring truck .
