Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Thank you for your knowledge. I will be ordering one in the near future. Do you also make the steering linkage with the universal joints that i saw in the thread that you shared.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

No I do not currently make a collapsible steering shaft coupler with u-joints. I have been wanting to but just not enough time with working 80hrs/7 days a week every week every month.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

With what you are doing, the supplied template will be of no use. I have no idea what you will need to do to mount and support the steering box adapter plate as I have never done anything like this.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

The installation template does reference the holes for the original steering box to position the power steering box.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Captainfab - I am sure this has been answered already but I am short on time this morning to search on your thread...

I have a power steering box from a 68-72 truck that I need to install on my 64' c10 2wd, will this bracket be the one I need in order to get that done?

If so, send me a message on where to send payment and how long it will take to get to me to 98059.

Thanks!

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

All '68-'86 C/K series and '87-'91 R/V series steering boxes are all interchangeable.

Do you need just the steering box adapter plate, or do you also need the tube and flange?

I will send you a PM with ordering and payment info.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

I have a 67 C10 and was i wondering if you can manufacture the required four 1/4" thick spacers for the power steering box to fit.

Since in my part of the world, cutting up the frame is in instant registration fail and the manufacturing quality isint the best in the world if i wanted to fab the spacers myself

Thanks

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Here are a couple more pics of the tube and flange that many are not aware of. This is a simple way to connect the original steering column shaft to the rag joint if you do not have a drill press and a welder to make use of the original flange as shown in the installation instructions. The cost of this tube and flange assembly is $25.00

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

John,
Once again, thank you for the speedy delivery on the parts. I am using the rear disc brake brackets on my sons 77 c10. Now i'm trying to make time to install the power steering gear box brackets on my 60 frame along with the trailing arm perches. The quality of your products excellent and and fitment is perfect.

Thanks

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Without going thru the whole gazillion-page thread on my phone, do you make an adapter for 4x4 chassis? In my case,
60-62.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

I do not make a steering box adapter plate specifically for the K series frames. I have sold many of these plates to customers that have installed them on their K series frames. Check out Les Otte's installation on his '64.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Captainfab,
Just finished the brakes on my 62 C10 that has a hydraulic clutch - drum/drum. I want to add a booster using your kit including the mounting bracket and wilwood clutch cylinder.
I just picked up an early 90's Booster and master cylinder setup from a Chevy 1500. Bolts measure 3 3/8x 31/2 so booster should be fine. Wondering if I can use the mc that is already on it or do I need a different mc. Also from reading previous posts it appears that I can eliminate the proportioning valve since it is drum/drum? I can post a pic of the booster assembly if it would help. Will get my order in as soon as I am sure I have the right parts. Thanks for your help,
Paul

Capt. Will I have to do anything to the centerlink to use this system? Or just the plate, gearbox and pitman arm.
