have y'all seen

I saw a junked fleet side bed the other day and was wondering if anybody has seen this done, cutting out the "spear" in the bed and flip and re weld it so the "spear" would be recessed? I think that would be something different but not sure what's behind the bedside. Also there would be the issue of the tail light but that could be worked around. What do y'all think?

Pic not my truck but you can see the bedside

Check and see if the spear is fiberglass. I don' know why, but seems i read somewhere it was. As for the lights you could use a roll pan set up with lights.johnj

Well, I would probably need to see it in person to get a feel for it. It may look "too inverted" and be looked at more like a long dent. Not sure. Would need to see it.
