Exclamation Rear stepside fenders long vs short - same?

I'm searching for a pair of stepside fenders for a swb 64 I recently bought.
I found someone selling a set from a long bed & was wondering if anyone can confirm if they are the same or not. Both fenders are the same, no spare cutout.

Any info is most appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

the only difference I know of is the spare tire cut out on the long-vs-short, if they are the "no cut out" fender they should be the same.

I'm not sure about the bolt holes lining up, but the difference is the wheel gap on the long bed vs. short. I think there is a thread about it somewhere..

If I remember right I believe the late 55-59 fenders were like 1/2 or 1" wider than the 60-66.....I'll see if I can find the thread

Yeah....someone got a donar fender off an early design truck and it was wider than the one on his truck. I've been looking for the thread........

Re: Rear stepside fenders long vs short - same?

I could measure mine tonight if that would help. Probably lots on here have short step side fenders that would do the same. Let me know.

Had one of each on my truck, (LWB) the 55-59 is a about 3/4 inch narrower, but has the same shape, Didn't notice it for thirty years until I was fabbing my rear step bumper and came up short on one side. Then I would notice it was narrower everytime I looked at it. Shout out to TJ for letting me know I had the 55-59 and shipping me the right one.

Re: Rear stepside fenders long vs short - same?

Thanks.....that's what I was looking for. For some reason I thought they were wider, but narrower works. Just remember reading the post at some point.
