8-lug Chevy patterns??

Alright I need to move around the behemoth 56 panel I got. It's kinda buried in the yard on 4 flats. It's 8 lug so my question is, are all Chevy 8 lug patterns the same? I did a search but it didn't go back to the 50's years.

I found some wheels on craigslist for a deal and they came off of a '97 C2500. Will they fit on my panel??

Should be the same just have the guy measure them for you. Measure a straight line across axle center between 2 studs.

Fords man,

I did find a thread on another site that said Chevy changed the 8 lug pattern in 2011 trucks and up to a metric pattern.

Re: 8-lug Chevy patterns??

Wheels with a large offset may have a problem with the inside of the wheel hitting the steering knuckle or the tie rod.

Ford also has ten lug wheels.

Yes the lugs will fit. On my 58 the front wheels WILL NOT go on. I needed 1.5" spacers for the to clear. Rears were no problem. Don't remember the year but older Fors 8 lugs fit but the newer 8 lugs went to a smaller diameter hub. The ones I got were 16" wheels FYI
