I thought the board had a area for photo shop.
I need a picture done to see what a project would look like before I do it.

I thinking about cutting the top off the little red coupe. I'd like to see it in photo shop before I do it though. I did this in paint.
Pick any one of the pictures to try. I'd appreciate it.

How rigid is the body? Will removing the roof weaken the sides and door frames?

Good question, I wished I had a good answer for you.
That's something I have to figure out and why I wanted to see it first before I do it. I think I will have to make some kind of roll bar across the back of it to help keep it together if I do it. I would have to tie it into the sides and the frame I guess.

A square tube frame
To support behind the seat.
Also a bracket to the frame and stuff like that

This would work out to be a Great improvement

If you snip it just right the roof can be made to put back on when the urge hits you.

It looks like you'll gain headroom and comfort. But, make sure it won't weaken it too much. Also, will the cutting destroy the paint job?

All good points and I will have to do some reinforcing I'm sure if I decide to cut it. Yea the paint is another issue. Looking out of the front now I would have to cut it down a few inches below the top of the front windshield because sitting in it now is right at the top of it so it would be in the line of sight. I yjink I could make like a fake convertible top cover for the back of it and have the roll bar are what ever help reinforce it enough to be OK.

I have thought about the top being used in the winter time also. Just not sure if there would be a good way of fastening it down.

My Driver Seeing the USA in a 71 Upstate SC GM Truck Club 2013,14 and 2016 Hot Rod Pour Tour http://upstategmtrucks.com/ Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun! It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
