Re: need some pics

I think i know what your looking for your looking for the alt bracket exhaust manifold i have a 327 with the intake off.I've never used the road draft tube

these are the 3 known exhaust manifolds that I know of that came on the 260 283 and 327 engines small block.

The one with the exhaust manifolds that goes down to the pipe is the one that came on all 1955--1973.Yes the ram Horn was used all the way up to 1973 Corvette.I'm so glade it was.Reason HEI longer plug wires meaning they can run under the motor instead of on top.

Now the 1968--72 had the slite bend in the casting to clear the A frame..But they used the same alt from 1960--68 as in mounting bracket and lower mounting bracket as seen in pictures

Now the crazy looking ram horn with the side bolt on is for the Corvette side mounted alt bracket.I just have the Ram horn.

Re: need some pics

Thanks STSALVAGE, I have a 283 and poerglide out of a 63 impala, it has the same manifold as the one nearest the windshield. What I need to know is: is the side bolt mount used on 65 pickups or front bolt design? I also have power steering if that makes a difference on the alternator bracket used?
Thanks, Brad

Re: need some pics

That is exactly it, thanks LT1 Burb. I now have the alt brackets and correct manifold. I need the water pump double pulley and the crank pulleys. The guy gave me a 68-70 power steering pump and brackets that will work but need the flat pulley for the lineup of the correct pulleys on the others.
Thanks, Brad
