Re: Pic Thread: Police Vehicles

Here are a couple of pictures to add. When I started in 1989, this is what the police cars looked like. The photo with the rocker switches doesn't show a shotgun mount. It would have been on the passenger side of the switches and would have been in an electrically locked vertical mount. Also, the radio at the bottom of that picture is newer than what would have been in there as well.

And thanks to both of you for adding variety. What a great variety of bikes!

I'm impressed by Ohio's taste in cruisers

I like that.

What is the reflection in the driver's window? And is that a perp stuffed into the back of the cab?

I didn't see anything wrong with it. I expanded the picture to see the perp and it looked like there were 3 words reflected in the driver's window. They are backwards, that's why I thought it was on purpose. I'd drive that. But it would need a big bump in the roof for me to sit in there and no perp

Re: Pic Thread: Police Vehicles

That OBS with the utility body would be really cool to have. I'd preserve some of the police-ness of it, and probably actually go with painted wheels. I've never been one to consider putting bags on a truck, but for some reason that would be cool to me on that one. Make it actually more accessible too. Shelve the light bar, push bumper, (sca)folding mirrors, nerf steps, and the antennas. Would be a fun truck.
