all new brake parts and brakes lock up

Ok this is where I am at 68 C20 drum on drum all new wheel cylinders, front rubber hoses and new master cylinder which I bench bleed. I thought my adjusters were over adjusting my brakes and locked them up but when I went out there today to tear it apart the wheels turned free. I took it for a ride and it started to drive fine. then it would go slower and slower. drove it into the garage all 4 drums were smoking. jacked it up and could not spin the wheels.
let it set and with in 10 to 15 minutes I could start turning the wheels. With in an hour I could spin the wheels no problem. Could I have bought the wrong master Cylinder? It appears to build pressure in the whole brake system and not let it off. Is it the Master cylinder or possibly the distribution block? Keep in mind this is all 4 wheels that it happens to.
Is it possible I need to shorten the brake pedal push rod? could it be holding the master cylinder in?

A few questions....

1. Is the brake pedal return spring installed and not broken?

2. Will the pressure release if you pull up hard on the brake pedal.

3. Did you replace the rear rubber hose?

4. Will it lock the wheels up if it is parked and you repeatedly pump the brake pedal?

Your thinking may be correct that the fluid is not returning to the master and each time you push the pedal down it builds more pressure in the system.

Could also be that a brake line is too close to the exhaust pipe and the heat is expanding the brake fluid in the lines.

Just some ideas to check....

I went back out and looked and I was thinking the push rod was to tight to the M/C and when the brake fluid heats up it expands and can't get by the M/C because the push rod is to tight? It is tight there is no play, no wiggle, no rattle or shake. I am going to back it off a little bit tomorrow and try it. It seems to tight.
by the way I looked and I am using DOT 3 brake fluid.

4. Will it lock the wheels up if it is parked and you repeatedly pump the brake pedal? no only does it after you drive it for a few miles and progressively gets worse.

Could also be that a brake line is too close to the exhaust pipe and the heat is expanding the brake fluid in the lines. all factory brake routing and exhaust routing don't thing it is a problem been in the family since new and I inspected this when I thought this was the possible cause of fluid leaking out of M/C but is was a junk M/C.

fixed the problem the brake pedal push rod was to long. I shortened it up so it was a little wiggly and now things work great.
