New project;

I know this is mostly about chevy trucks.
I have a DODGE 4dr sedan that I will be putting on a S10 frame.
Going to use alot of the information from this site to set up body ,engine,trans n radiator.
I also have a F1 Ford that will be going on a Olds Baravoda frame.it was 4x4 but now is a 2wd.
I like the small block chevy engine in most of my builds.

Re: New project;

Sounds like a couple of interesting projects Tim. Will you do a build thread in the alternate builds area?

Re: New project;

Hello;

Once I start the build I will post to the alt site.
It this time I'm still getting parts together for both projects.
I want to get new roofs on both shops n concrete on the floor.
Can't see doing concrete with a leaky roof.
All so will install a trolly system from front to back of shop.
The F1 does't have as much body work as the Dodge will have.

Re: New project;

some really nice stuff there, will make fun projects. I am so envious of where you live..I just love the desert areas with sun, sand, and sheetmetal that usually isn't full of holes. Enjoy building and post pics!

Re: New project;

Hello;
Just a couple of up date on both the projects;
Got the NEW S10 frame for the 29 dodge (pic still set up to hight on the rear part of the frame.
Done some looking n measureing,
Looks like a 73 chevy pu rear frame is 6' wide where the S10 frame is 5.50.
Plus the up rise on the 73 is like 4' not 10' like the S10.
Looks like the S10 frame will slide inside the 73 frame.
NO pic of the 73 frame yet,
Here are the right n left side pic of the 29 on the S10 frame.
Have the 29 -33 raditor shell (pic)
This is setting on the stock S10 frame.

Up data on the Ford;

Have the Ford setting on the Olds frame,
The body is setting down on the frame with the hoodon.
Have the ft fenders n grille also.
Have pic;

The oics will take a couple of post to show.

Re: New project;

Re: New project;

Definitely following along on these.

I have a Chevy truck but often I look at the alternate tinkering section first. I know what a Chevy truck looks like inside and out but I never know what interesting stuff I will find here.
