1992 sport truck production numbers

hello

just picked up a 92 OBS and love it! The guy I bought it from said the sport model was rare compared to the 454 and others. Can anyone confirm that? Tried the old google and have come up short.

thanks

Re: 1992 sport truck production numbers

I cannot verify the numbers, but I have seen way more sport models than SS454 so I am thinking the opposite. Still a great truck.

Great looking truck. If you are referring to the SS454 models, I'm with Palf70Step, I think they are less common than the Sports. But who cares? Your truck looks very well taken care of, and there is a lot you can do to make that TBI 350 fun to drive. Have you tried the GM heritage site? The OBSs probably qualify as vintage vehicles by now, haha.

Its not a crazy rare model, and doesn't bring extra money when selling compared to a non-sport.
That being said, great looking truck.

Re: 1992 sport truck production numbers

I have almost never seen a sport in Canada but have seen many SS454 but it seems the sport is a lot more common south of the line.

Re: 1992 sport truck production numbers

Thanks guys!

I agree about it not being that rare, I do see way more 454 than sports in my neck of the woods

regardless OBS are awesome and I love it.

Re: 1992 sport truck production numbers

I've always seen more SS454s through the years. I was real keen on '92s since I ordered a GMC K3500. I'd like to know the production numbers. The way I ordered my '92 I'm pretty sure it is a one off. I always wanted to get one for a little mate for the 1t. The SS454s needed some pep pills. People didn't want to toy with their "collector vehicles". I'd rather play with a 350. I remember SLP was doing their magic on the Sport 350 back then
