Door Caps

Does anyone have a picture of how those rubber door caps are supposed to fit? I've put all new rubberstripping in my 71 and am down to the rubber window caps. I can't get them to fit the way they look like they should, and the old ones were never there so I have nothing to go on.
Thanks in advance.
-Tim

Thank you very much, that's exactly what I am looking for.
Do you have any leaks with yours?

minor ones with light rain.Moderate with heavy rain.

I think GM was on a 420 break when they designed that area of the top.
I think they leaked from the factory.

Excuse the intrusion:

Bobby K, in the top and bottom picture you posted, I've never seen that piece. Is it part of the rubber seal of the top or is it a separate piece? Looks like it srcewes to the windshield frame as well as the top. I've never noticed holes for those in mine but then again didn't know to look.

I also have these on my '72 blazer. I'm pretty sure the seal in the top picture is part of the weatherstripping, but the one in the bottom picture is seperate piece. I cant remember the name of them. Drip rail deflectors maybe???

I think they were on all first gens. The rubber pieces can be bought through LMC for like $36 a pair. They are separate from the weatherstripping and screw to the top and the windshield frame. I'm not so sure about the plastic door caps, I haven't seen them for sale.

Thanks, just looked in my LMC cat., your right. I just never new to look for them, never seen them on a Blazer. As to the plastic door caps, I believe www.****************.com is making them, I think $25 apiece.

That rubber drip rail gets screwed into the top and the winshield frame.
When the top is removed you just remove the screws in the winshield frame.

Can these door caps be installed without removing the top? ie. My Blazer is missing them, and I don't want to remove the top right now.

No need to remove the top to install the drip rail deflectors.
