Re: Wiring harness seal help

I thought they just used that nasty clear urethane to seal them up, but I may be wrong.

Re: Wiring harness seal help

this one had what looked like foam with adhesive both sides and when i separated it from the wall it tore all the foam up. it was cut perfectly to fit around the plug so im 99% sure its a factory thing.

You may be able to replicate it with some double sided 3M or comparable tape.

http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page...3Abutyl%20tape

I have used this to seal AC, windows, walls in the shop, grain bins, keeps moisture and a good air seal

Re: Wiring harness seal help

Bainsy, heres a cheap possibility for you. I have gotten foam that was used for wrapping parts that would work well. Its about 1/8" uncompressed and would probably take a non petroleum sealer well. This is an example of what I am talking about.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/25-X-12-X-1-...item43d5efa290

I'm sure that you should find some locally.
