WTB - original hard line from pump to carb for 71 BBC with A/C

Awesome if I can find a nice one that I can be slapped onto the restoration. But I'll settle for second rate, so long as the bends are correct. Mine was chucked long ago, and the 72 doesn't have one either, so I could use the comparison.

I'm also open to having one made if anyone's interested. If it matters, the fuel pump is one line from the tank to the pump (no return line). I'm using an original pump or original replacement.

A tube was ordered for me through in-line, but it's "non-A/C". Doesn't appear they have one for A/C.

Thanks

I used inline tube stainless CTC-7104. Their description says with long pump. Meaning long fuel pump, not long water pump. Seems like I had to tweak a little somewhere, but all of the lines always need a little tweaking.

Beautiful truck you've got, and thanks for the response. I saved those pics. for my build, that looks dead-on to me. Only difference I see is mine had a black Bendex booster, and I'm leaning toward an electric choke. The divorced choke had been removed, otherwise I'd probably keep it. Is that a label on the front RH valve cover?

This might be a "long" pump. More like a "tall" pump, but what can you do What year is your truck? https://www.classicparts.com/1972-85...xoCu54QAvD_BwE

Appears the long pump was 72 forward. The pumps have a return line to the tank, pre 72 didn't.

Mine is a 72 with the tall fuel pump and return line to tank. Inline Tube doesn't specify with or without A/C on the earlier trucks. Looks like the only place A/C would interfere is where the top adjuster bracket slides in by the carb. Fuel line needs to be straight forward from carb so adjuster goes under it.

In-line does differentiate A/C and not:

This one is for the long pump "with A/C". It reads 71-72, but that's wrong, it's 72 only. They don't show one for non-A/C with a tall pump. Like you say, A/C may not matter: https://www.inlinetube.com/_p/prd14/...l-long-ctc7104

[B]This one is for the short pump "without A/C". It also reads 71-72, but it's for a 71. They don't show one for A/C, but again, it may not matter. https://www.inlinetube.com/_p/prd14/...t-pump-ctc7107

I'm beginning to see the extent of the rumor that "A/C trucks had a return line (A.K.A tall fuel pump)". Apparently Inline Tube believes it, but it's a false rumor. It strikes me that a return line has nothing to do with A/C. I can't say why the changeover between 71-72, but a return line was a non-factor in 71.

We have a 72 gmc Sierra grande with a 402 it has a return line it is an a/c truck. It takes the tall pump. We had to make our fuel line. Don't have a picture but can take one tonight. If you want to see it.

That's OK, but thank you. I suspect the "standard" fuel line I got from In-line works A/C or not. I'm a ways out from installing it.
