It looks like someone "serviced" the column at some point and they didn't know what they were doing because they damaged the sleeve fairly badly, it obviously needs some work and with some patience and care you can restore it back to factory original condition.
The "chrome" reproduction indicator housing I saw at LMC is plastic instead of metal like the original and I wouldn't recommend it.
You can get the clear shift indicator in 3 and 4 speed.
You can probably use small needle nose pliers to remove the broken pointer.
