WIW short 4x4 frame

looking at a parts truck and its a supposed factory short bed 4x4. vin and spid match as a 4x4 115 wheel base with a 292 and a 4 speed. it has a disc brake front end installed and power steering. trying to get the frame numbers from the guy to confirm its originality. but lets say it is a real factory 4x4 frame in decent shape needing blast and paint whats it worth around here with a title vin and spid????

Matching Frame, VIN plate and Title (4x4). And the frame is straight, no serious rust, $1200 to $1500. You would most likely have to sit on it and wait for the right buyer.

A plus, would be the matching glove box door with spid.

Re: WIW short 4x4 frame

I know it has the spid and the title and vin match. just waiting for him to send me the serial number off the front frame rail to make sure it matches the rest. so anyone else have any input on what it may be worth in the nj area. there is a lot of rust here I I would think a local real swb frame would bring preemo prices.

Re: WIW short 4x4 frame

You could possibly find someone willing to pay more, but they have to really be wanting the frame (wanting to build a swb 4x4). Just like how I've seen true swb (2wd) frames sell for 800-1000 bare but I've had one advertised for months at 500 with no takers....just have to find someone looking for one at that moment...

The parts board is not the place to post WIW questions.

Re: WIW short 4x4 frame

Just curious, why do you care if the frame numbers match? I could see if it was a V8 truck but a six with a four speed doesn't have the same value as a restoration project does it?
