Original?

Changed out the fuel pump on my 69 C/10 today. Does this look original, or just a GM replacement? I don't know if the originals had GM part numbers or not....Pat

Re: Original?

If it was functioning on a running motor recently, that is an impressive lifespan for that thing.

It was....and actually still may work just fine. It was a fuel clog at the manual selector valve. I'm going to hold onto it just because....lol.

Re: Original?

Did that truck ever sit for an extended period without running? If i had to guess, I’d guess it has run almost continuously its whole life. Mine only seem to fail when I stop driving them fairly often. And then they die when I need them most... ha.

Re: Original?

Before I purchased it recently, it sat for 8 years. The pump actually is still working....but I'm sure it's days were numbered....
