Transmission cross member direction

I'm swapping in a double hump transmission cross member into my 80 c10. I didn't think it had a front or back but then i noticed it has some angled lines and it slants downward where the trans mounts. Need some help trying to figure out which way it goes. I attached some pictures to show what I'm talking about.

Re: Transmission cross member direction

the angle goes to the rear. the trans slopes down at the rear to point towards the rearend.

Re: Transmission cross member direction

Now I wish I paid attention to mine. I hope I didn't install it backwards!
