73-87 3/4-1ton 2wd to SAS steering box

Which steering box is the best to use when SAS'ing an original 2wd truck?

For cross over steering it appears most use the stock 2wd box in its stock location. Just want to confirm this and also to confirm which pitman arm? Stock or dropped? Lift will be mild. Just enough to comfortably clear 35x12.50s.

Is there any other box that is an upgrade to the factory while I'm at it? I have the stocker, but since everything else will be new I was going to get a new box as well.

Thanks.
