Fuel Tank

I'm trying to find out which rear mounted fuel tank is better. The after market metal or the poly one. I have both and only need one so I want to sell the other.

Freedom ain't Free!

Post some pics of what you have or give us some more information. More information is needed to give some sound advice.

Re: Fuel Tank

The plastic ones seem to eventually leak around the sending unit, at least here in the desert. I sell a lot of the metal ones to replace the plastic ones for that reason.

Re: Fuel Tank

Guys I have a 72 SWB c10. The gas tank is currently behind the seat but I want to relocate it to the rear. How hard is this on a scale of 1 - 10? Do I have to take the bed off? Prices and recs. of success stories are welcomed!

Re: Fuel Tank

For sure take the bed off. A few bolts and unplug the harness, bed off. Hardest part is bribing your friends to come over and help lift it off. After that, the tank part is pretty easy. a few bolts, sending unit wire, extend or run new fuel line, back in business.
