Cruise Control?

Is there really any differences between the different model cruise controls? I guess what I am trying to find out is, could an impala or chevelle cruise control system be used in our trucks?

Burb i can show you the differences i have a cruise setup from a 68 Big Block camaro, and i have a stock truck ones.the transducer and brackets is the same, whats different is the pod/bracket foe the chain on the firewall, but if you get into 72 they used a different setup, not saying it wouldnt work, but regarless your gonna be drilling holes behingd your motor on the firewall.Id suggest going aftermarket electronic, unless your a originality buff,i have a setup i may sell,if the price got me excited.

Anyone know what turn signal switch (with cruise button built in) would work on these? The Longhorn has factory cruise, but the switch is FUBARd.
