Blazer hatch hinge gasket the same

I have a 71 blazer with a double wall top. I removed the hatch to replace the gaskets. Are the hinge gaskets on the hatch side the same as the top side. I purchased new gaskets and it appears they are not the same. Are the top side available available from one of the vendors.

Re: Blazer hatch hinge gasket the same

There are hinge cover gaskets, and then there are Blazer hatch hinge grommets. The Blazer hatch hinge grommets are the rubber seal that you see on the Outside of hatch surrounding the hinge which seals hinge to hatch. If you bought the gaskets you bought the incorrect part.

There are two styles of gaskets for the hatch end of the hinges - I like the look of the one-piece rubber gasket as opposed to the other flat style that's screwed into place with a bezel like the top end of the hinge. See pics here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...3&postcount=30

Re: Blazer hatch hinge gasket the same

Here is what I found so far the pieces are called grommets in the book item 5 section 16.325 reads 2 pieces. You can see that it is listed for 69-72 I'm assuming that is the hatch side so I need to find out where they are called out on the top.
