Lowering kits
I have a 1994 C1500 SWB, I would like to lower it 2/4 and was wondering which kit is the best to use without having to grind the heck out of the lower control arms, I have 1973-87 15x8 rallys on it and would like to keep them,I did my 1985 C10 and had to grind the new spindles and lower control arms to get enough clearance, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lowering kits
You failed to include one helpful bit of info: Budget.
I was going for the same stance a few months before I realized I needed to sell my truck. I wanted a kit where I wouldn't need to use drop spindles and could stick with the stock alloys for my truck, since I got a NOS pair (I like the stock alloys a lot). I also wanted it to be a complete kit with known-to-fit shocks and all hardware, bumpstops etc. I didn't want to dick around and guess at anything, I just wanted to get the kit in and install it. Belltech 686ND was the kit I was eyeballing. Found it around $425 a few months back through an authorized retailer who was selling kits on eBay. Will give you a 2/4 or 3/4 drop depending on a few factors. Here's Belltech's page for that product with details: https://www.belltech.com/belltech-88...cks-686nd.html Maybe it's up your alley. Maybe it's out of budget. Belltech and RideTech are two of the only companies I trust for complete no-hassle kits because they test the crap out of their stuff, which saves us time, effort and hassles of not picking the correct assortment of parts.

Re: Lowering kits
Thanks for the info Shifty,I have used Belltech in the past and were happy with them,I would like to use spindles, just for the fact it is easier to aliign and better ride, cost is always on my mind, but if you want quality you have to spend the bucks.I am hoping to get back to SC very soon so I can work on My truck, stuck up here in The Great White North until January.

Re: Lowering kits
A simple front spring swap will get you what you want in front.
