1964 sbc 327 spin on filter adapter questions..
I have a 1964 327 (3858180) im building and when i got it, it already had the spin on filter adapter with it...it is just like the included picture...this is all i have...is there supposed to be some sort of bypass vavle as well or do you rely on the check valve in the filter? The adapter was bolted into the block, nothing else.

I used one of these on my last truck. That's all there is, no bypass.
