Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

Found some of the old pics. May be a couple spots of light pitting after blasting. I know shipping will probably kill the deal...

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

$350 plus shipping. Last ones I shipped were around $30 each. CA will probably be more.
Let me know as I have a couple of other parties interested.

Shipping to CA UPS ground is $57.50 each. These are 30# each and that is actual shipping costs. You are first up on them.

I have a fedex account. Can you give me the box dimensions and weight, just so I can see if I can do better on shipping? If so, I will be able to email you the shipping labels

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

I priced these through UPS with a "suitcase" tag through the valve stem hole. No boxes. They are 17"x 17"x 9" and are close to 30 pounds each.
I am fine with having tags sent here as long as they will work for that application.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

I have shipped other wheels like that in the past with no problems. Problem is finding boxes without adding more size.
I am not sure where the nearest fedex would be for me.
Grand Rapids MN 55744 is my location
A commercial address may help a little.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

Hi if the sale falls through then I’ll take them. I’ll need them shipped to the UK and I know this won’t be cheap, but I want to convert my 67 C10 to disc/drum and keep the 6 lug setup and stock looking wheels.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

FYI if you have not shipped them yet, I have found it is cheaper to box them 2 per box. It cut the price almost in half on shipping and still gave them some protection

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

Thank you for that info. That’s how I had shipped some in the past. Are you willing to track down boxes that will fit 2? If so, I can create labels and email them to you. I can even have fedex pick them up

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

IF I could find a box that was 18x18x19 it would run about $98 for 2 wheels. (as opposed to $115 for 2 separately) It would save you a few bucks that way, but then I would have to find 2 boxes that are heavy enough and minimum that size and hopefully free. I am also gone about 11 hours a day for work right now. If you are not in a hurry I will see if I can find something.

I’m not worried about the price difference. I don’t want you to have to go that far out of your way.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

Eric, just for an FYI, I have shipped 15x8 rally wheels and the 15x8 6 lug steel wheels using cardboard boxes I have bought from Walmart or our local Menard's (big box lumber yard store). Cardboard boxes are 16'' x 16'' x 15''. Stacked two wheels in first box with piece of cardboard between two stacked wheels. Inverted the second box down over the first box and cut down to size. Think makes the whole boxed unit 16'' x 16'' x 19'' at 56 lbs. per box. Shipped thru UPS and worked out well. Hope that helps with some options.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

I just shipped 2 sets of wheels, 15x8’s and 15x10’s... I went to the local Rent-a-Tire... they have plenty of boxes I just took apart and resized the boxes.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Steel wheels

Ok, I bought 2 double wall u haul boxes today and a roll of tape. The boxes will be about 18x18x20 when I am done and weigh about 66 lbs. UPS sight is almost $100 to ship 1 box with 2 wheels, and about $12 in materials. ($106 per box of 2) You can check your fed ex account with those numbers and see.
I also have a set of blue 72 burb door panels if you are looking.
