Talking Getting ready

Getting the C 10 ready for the 2019 Hot Rod Power Tour last week & this week. Last week exhaust fixed two hangers where broke off. Oil & filter, greased everything good, washed waxed along with new rear air bags installed. Checked all the fluid levels again cleaned the interior good and treated the leather. Fixed the cruise control and got the rear disc brakes working better than ever before.

Yesterday had it at the front end alignment shop and today had 2 new front tires installed. Front's looked if'y! Started packing it this afternoon.

2- 2.5 ton floor jacks & stands
wood to place under them and rubber mat to lay on if needed. My tool box with everything I could fit in it and more. Voltmeter, test light, timing light, rags towels for cleaning, water, antifreeze, cooler with drinks and plenty of water to drink, 10x10 tent with chairs. 100's of electrical connector's of all sizes, hammers, wheel puller tube flaring tool you name it I got it!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Getting ready

sounds like you've covered all the bases! I'd love to do a leg or long haul the entire thing one day.

Spare wheel & tire is in the center of the last picture. Hard to see though. I pushed it up against the fuel tank.
This will be the 5th Long Haul for the truck. Last year I drove the 56 Bel Air. Thanks, I do my best. There are a few of us on here going. I hope we can all meet up at some point and get some pictures together.
ls1nova71, Bagd72Chevy, Advanced Design, smbrouss70, towbar & BlueJeep are going.
67ChevyRedneck and jeffg1010 are doing the first 2 stops.

Truck is all loaded with tools and such now for clothes!

Re: Getting ready

Quite the lineup of board members to cruise with. Have to say I'm more than a bit jealous of you Andy! I'm hoping to make it for at least a few legs of the trip in 2020, in my 72, if all goes to plan.

Brian

I'm hoping we can all get together on the tour and run together are at least be some what together. It's hard trying to keep a big group together on this kind of trip.
I'm also hoping we can do a photo shot with all the trucks one day.

Pictures will be forth coming but may take a bit before I can post them here.
My face book page
https://www.facebook.com/C10Tour/?ref=your_pages
will have live feeds and the most up to date pictures as the week goes by.

Well it looks like I will have a co-pilot riding with me. My friend from Covington LA isn't going to drive his car so he is riding with me. This should be fun. I'll have a navigator and a photo shooter!

Re: Getting ready

I'm in the hotel in Concord, made it to North Carolina this afternoon. Hopefully the rain will stop since it's been raining here just about all day.

Andy, this is what I'm driving.
