LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Decided to move the thread over to Projects and Builds because what was going to be a simple touch up job has now sprouted wings.

Bought this baby for $800 and renamed her LeAnn.

the first pic of her is the day I brought her home.

2nd pic is with the old school Saw Blade Rims I bought.

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Started to rip her apart today. Lifted the carpet and held my breath for the rusted floor pan that I was dreading! Well I found this: A teeny bit of rust spotting on the passanger side floor, but the rest was like it just came out of the factory!

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Then started working on the rest of the truck. I am swopping the Fleetside for a Stepside. What we did yesterday and today was to take off the old bed, and then started undercoating the frame and sanding the cab and front end.

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Then we ended the day by mocking up the bed so I can take pics of what LeAnn's junk is gonna look like, and I tell you what, this baby is gonna have junk in her trunk!
Tomorrow we are going to take off the front clip and replace it with a 83 front clip You notice that we sanded the present front clip, but like i said, ideas sprouted wings and we decided to change the look a bit and have the hood latch open from inside the cab), will post more pics of that tomorrow night.

To my knowledge, they did not, but do not take that to the bank! I had the air filter and housing stolen out of the truck the 2nd night it was home, because of the outside hood release, so I was very adament at getting the in-cab release, and then also decided that if I am going to change the housing for the radiator to do that, then I might as well change the front clip so that I can change the grille like I wanted to also!

Lol I want to change mine to a in cab hood release too.
With the billet grill in it, its so hard to open the hood...and bending the grill sucks lol.

I love that scooter, it's a 150cc Chinese cheapie that I have for 2 years now, and I can go to work for 4 days on about $4.00 (that's a tank). The only excuse I need to ride it, is that the sun is out! I will post a pic of it sometime.

The bed is in decent shape, has a small rust spot in the bed floor. Will probably try and hoc it for a coupla hundred bucks. Must still make the effort to put it on craigslist.

You must love that tank bro, spending that kinda money on it................ As for the scooter, I saved more than double the money I spent on it, on gas I would have used had I used my truck to work every day! Worth every penny I spent buying it!
