I was wondering if anyone out there has used that Sea Foam product in the oil and gas on a 250 engine. If so what was the result and were you happy at the end? Have a good one eh!

I use the sea foam fuel stabilizer all the time in all my engines seems to work very well.Do you have a problem or just preventative?Never used in the oil.

I guess the results will depend on the need a truck has. Some may notice nothing, trucks with fuel issues will run better, and trucks with gunked up heads/lifters should see a difference. Engine size has nothing to do with it.

I highly recommend sea foam in the fuel tank. I bought a truck that would hardly run , it had been sitting for awhile and I dumped a can of s f in it and 5 gallons of fresh gas. Whalla, ran like a champ within 15 minutes.

Thanks guys. With all answers being positive a fellow can't go wrong. I am getting a bit of carbon deposit at the end of the tailpipe and seeing that the engine is just purring fine I thought that I'd try some Sea Foam and maybe clean up some stuck part in the engine. I don't think it will hurt any other than explaining to the boss as to why I poured money into the truck with no results. Thanks again. HAVE A GOOD ONE!

Seafoam is good stuff when used properly. 1 oz. per quart in the oil for 500-1000 miles before a change will help dissolve gunk. In the fuel it'll help capture and burn any water, and clean the carb. and intake side of the engine. Put 1-2 ounces down each spark plug hole and let soak overnight to clean gunked up rings - just crank it over with the plugs out to blow any leftover out, or you may hydro-lock if there's any liquid left in the cylinder. Expect lots of white smoke for a few minutes afterward.
