Both styles are pretty close. The ones with the square cup holders are 21Lx14w, just like the earlier style with the round cup holders. The difference is in height. The newer ones with the square holders are 14 inches high, while the ones with the round holders are 11.

Well..I'm not too knowledgeable on any of this , but I thought the square or rectangle holes were for belt buckles when not in use...now I'm really confused LOL...
What I found is a nice console with round cup holders and it states that it is for year 1973 to 1980 ..So you saying this console is 21" deep front to back and 14" wide between the bucket seats?..I'm not concerned with height..
The supplier js Classic Ind and it will take for ever to get them to answer!
Thanks xs-style

Your probably right about the square ones actually being for the buckles, but they hold a soda can nicely too lol And yeah, 21 inches front to back, and 14 between the seats. Classic industries is a well known company, so ya gotta figure they would match stock ones, or at least be darn close.

The previous poster is confused. He thinks you are asking about the 81 and newer consoles with the square cupholders. The 76 and earlier are IDENTICAL to the ones with the seatbelt holders for the 72 and earlier trucks. They switched to cupholders around 77

Re: 73-80 console for 67

Nope, sorry. No confusion here. I've got both styles right in front of me to go by. But maybe I wasn't as clear as i could have been by just saying "newer" . The newer style I was referring to is the 81 and up, where the ones with the round inserts are 73-80. Some folks just like to split hairs, dimensions are the same either way length and width wise.

Re: 73-80 console for 67

There were two styles for the 73-80 trucks 76 and earlier had rectangle seatbelt pocket these will NOT hold a can of soda!!. 77 -80 had ROUND cupholders. BOTH were painted fiberglass! 81 and newer truck so came with PLASTIC consoles molded in interior color(not painted) with SQUARE cupholders

Re: 73-80 console for 67

Regardless of the inserts, 73-80 dimensions remained the same.

Now this would seem to indicate they are the same as the 67-72s, but I have no experience in that end of the pond.

Nobody ever said 73-80 dimensions weren't the same. they are. I probably have 10 of the 73
-80 consoles both with seatbelt holders and cup holders. What I am trying to explain to you is that you didn't know squarebody came with the fiberglass consoles with seatbelt holders. It has to do with the year of the square. 76 and earlier are IDENTICAL to the ones in a 72.
He is looking for the correct style for his 67-72 truck .
