T case adaptor question

I have an SM465 married to a T221. I picked up a 71-2 chassis witha 3 speed married to an NP205. Will the adaptor for the 205 bolt to my SM465??

But luckily it will be easier to find the proper adapter than if you were trying to find one for the Rockwell. Also, I wouldn't bother swapping out the Rockwell unless you are having problems. They are basically equal strenght and same gear ratio. Plus, it's kind of fun to have something different.

you'll need the adapter for the 465/205,coupling sleeve and crossmember. the crossmember for the rockwell is shorter, you can make spacers to go between the frame and crossmember but if you want it correct you need a 205 crossmember. you'll also need new driveshafts and another hole in the hump for the shifter. i did the swap on a 69 short bed i used to have.

Thanks, Jerry. I got the driveshafts with the chassis, and the crossmember, but it's completely rotted out under the mounts. I knew about the shifter being on the opposite side, and forgot to get the hump with the chassis! So I need the adaptor, coupling sleeve,and a good crossmember. I'll have to post a "wanted" on the parts board. Thanks
