Seat Belt Extenders

Any seat belt Gurus out there? I recently installed 3 point belts in my '57 3100 and when I put the seats back in the belts in the middle are too short to pull all the way through between the seat and the seat back. I'd like to find a click in extender instead of removing the belt and having a new piece sewn in. My problem is that there many different type buckle. Type A & B are all I could find online. I called the Mfg but they said they installed so many different buckles that there is no way to find out (not sure if that's true). I've attached a photo of the buckle tongue. The dimensions of the tongue are: hole 20 x 14mm and the outside 32 x 40. Help! Thanks in advance, Paul

Re: Seat Belt Extenders

im planning on installing 3 point belts in my 57 3100... and since my seat is in the truck, i could tell right away that the part of the belt with the buckle that goes in the middle was way to short......
my solution was to also buy a two point lap belt from the same manuafacturer, which is pretty inexpensive, and the two point belt comes with a nice extra long belt. the belt that comes with the two point setup is adjustable on the buckle side.... when i figure out what length it needs to be, i may take it to a shoemaker to have the belt sewn to the length i need.

Re: Seat Belt Extenders

Who did you get the belt thru? I got mine from brothers truck parts and the kit was shipped from the manufacturer to brothers with the wrong length of belts. The original manufacturer sent me up the right length right away with no questions asked.

Re: Seat Belt Extenders

I bought them from Julianos Hot Rod Parts. Part of the problem is that the seats were restuffed and upholstered which made the seat higher. I didn't anticipate this problem. I found a vendor who had a click in extender.....so problem solved.
