Baby Blue 72 2wd

Picked up a real clean 72 C20 Burb up in Eugene Oregon yesterday! Rust free! 350/350 Wanting to convert it to c10 suspension and get it sitting nice and low! What everybody using to convert the front suspension? I saw ECE makes conversion drop spindles. Not sure which way to go. Want to put it on air ride and get it low, but not sure about spending the bucks on Porterbuilt stuff. Anybody have pictures on how low you can get one on the stock crossmember and big wheels? I'll get some pics posted up! Excited to get started on this one!

Re: Baby Blue 72 2wd

Nice score, those Suburban's from the west coast are usually in good shape. Mine came from Oregon, it's in MA now.

I used parts from CPP, front and rear drop coils and I will be putting drop spindles in when I convert to disc front brakes.

There are plenty of companies that make parts for these trucks. You really need to decide which direction you are going in from the beginning.

Re: Baby Blue 72 2wd

I am doing the exact same thing to my c-20. I used ECE front spindles and converted to 5 lug. Changed out the rear end to 5 lug system and kept adding from there. This gives you a 5 lug system and used the photos at ECE to pick the ride height I wanted.
