Need Some Seat Dimensions

I'm redoing my original seat with foam - but it looks like I was a little too anxious to throw those nasty, rusty springs in the trash.

The upholsterer is asking the thickness of the orignal springs as a starting point to do the foam.

Can anyone tell me- (Plus or minus a quarter of an inch or so)-

The thickness of the bottom spring assembly in the front, measured from the base where it sits against the frame to the reinforcing wire around the perimeter

The thickness of the bottom spring at the back, measured from the base where it sits against the frame to the reinforcing wire around the perimeter

The thickness of the back cushion

Any help is appreciated,

Phil

Yes, that would have been useful information. Sorry I omitted the year.

It is a 1949 GMC - should be the same as your Chevy seat. Would really appreciate it if you could put a tape to your seats and post it up

Re: Need Some Seat Dimensions

Bottom front - 6 3/4"
Bottom rear - 6"
Back upper - 4"
Back lower - 5 1/4"

I don't have the pad anymore but don't remember it to be very thick, maybe a couple inches? Although it was original and had more mice nests than padding...

Crazy up side down pics...
