Post I am new

hey i am new to this site but i already love it. I have one question though. When i take off i have a squeling noise coming from under my truck. Is it my driveshaft or something to do with that??? Any help would be appreciated.

on your problem, do you have straight shift? if so its probably the throwout bearing

If it has a carrier bearing check it out. if it is bad, and you have to pull the drive shaft, you should go on ahead and replace all 3 u joints, then you know every thing should be good

straight shift AKA manual AKA stick shift
you know, gotta chaneg the gears yourself. push in clutch and shift. just another type of transmission. i think i know how to fix a throwout bearing btu i cant really think how to explain it so ill let someoen else.

Have you checked your drive belts? Tha power steering, water pump, act. It kinda sounds like a bike skidding on boack top...

Welcome from South Arkansas. I have the same problem and I have alrwady changed the carrier bearing. Had a mechanic tell me it probally was the u-joints. Haven't had a chance to change yet.

Hey how much would it cost to get the u-joints replaced? My belts were just replaced so its not them. Sorry about not knowing what straight shift was, i have never heard it called that around here. Oh and thanks for the warm welcome I don't plan on leavin' for a while either. My first truck will be my last truck.
