Will these wheels fit

Looking for a nice set of rims for for my 1968 C10 stock 6 lug setup. Does anyone know if this wheel will fit correctly?

Re: Will these wheels fit

Quick answer is no. You need a wheel that has 6 X 5", or 6 X 127mm if running stock hubs......

I've looked a few places online that show my stock setup as being 6x139.7 (6x5.5) for a 1968 C10

Re: Will these wheels fit

Nope, and here's why. It's not the bolt pattern ( you do have a 6x5.5")that won't work, it's that the center hubs on the front end and the rear axle positioning hub (round protrusion that sticks out from the center of the bolt pattern) are too big to fit into most of the newer wheels unless they are specifically made for the bigger diameter hubs. I have new wheels that I got a really good deal on but I had to have the center hole of each wheel machined to fit the larger hub size on the older 6 lug trucks. Some wheels you can do this, others you can not.

I would call American Racing and see if they make a model of that wheel that fits the older trucks, then you will know for sure.

Good luck, Rg

Yes, you have 6x5.5 bolt pattern on your 68. The bolt pattern is the same, but as mentioned, the hub bore is too small to fit on your hub. Also, the backspacing is wrong. The wheels will tuck too far into the wheel wells and look odd. Those wheels are designed for newer trucks with positive offsets.

Re: Will these wheels fit

I think 4.26" but it's been a while since I had it done.
