Swapped Tops

I'm going to use my little popup camper this weekend in the infield at Atlanta. I had to take the Blazer's white double wall top off of it. I store it there 'cause I don't use the popup much. Figured I'd set it on the Jimmy and see how it looked. The red top for the Jimmy is a single wall and is in about the same shape as the rest of the veh. ... a 20-30 footer. Local paint & body guy is still trying to decide if he wants to take it in trade for a paint job on my Nova. I thought maybe the nice white top might sweeten the deal. He'd get to paint the red one anyway and make MORE $$.

Re: Swapped Tops

If you can get a paint job for a Blazer top you will be getting the deal of the century, providing it's a good job. Paint and materials can run 1-2 thousand. By the way, I think both tops look good on your Blazer.

Red looks good. Window tint on white one is nice.

I'd offered to trade the '72 Jimmy 2wd. with the red top ON IT for the paint & body work on the Nova. The Jimmy runs & drives pretty good but is rusty & plastered under the shiny red paint. If he'd swap for a good quality paint job it'd be a good deal for me. He does very nice work. I don't like to sell and ain't good at it. I've had the Nova 15+ years and it's a good solid car but needs to be done again. I bought the Jimmy before I got the '72 Blazer and don't need both. I guess the Jimmy's strong point is that it's rare. I like the GMC's 4 headlight face. I like the white top on it too.
