TBI build
I am in the process of building a replacement motor for my 91' Sport . Here is the list of parts so far . Looking for opinions .
Block 880 vortec 2 bolt main .030 torque plate honed and full standard block prep with brass freeze plugs . 94' Z28 rotating assembly ( vortec crank was bad ) nodular crank std/std , powdered metal rods , SRP 2 valve relief flat tops ARP rod and main bolts . Fully balanced assembly . World product torquer S/R bare castings ( swap meet for $200 ) 170 CC intake ports 76 CC chambers milled .007 to 75 ish 1.94/1.60 vortec valves for better valve back cut . serdy bit pocket port . Z28 springs . 1003 head gasket ( pending quench numbers ) 94 Z28 Hydraulic roller cam .204/.208 .450/.460 112 . with lifters and associated parts . Summit house brand timing chain . Stock distributor . Probably a full roller rocker . Planning on rebuilding the TBI with the ported throttle kit off ebay . They claim 670 cfm or somewhere close , Maybe down the road a magnaflow mandral head pipe and shorty headers with single free flow muffler and cat of coarse . Drive train will be factory rebuilt 700 with S-10 lock up converter to move the stall up a little . 3.08 with clutch type posi .

I have a 3.42 gear with a t.b.i 350 and a 700 r trans, 29.5" tall back tire and wish I would have went with a 3.73 gear. Depending on your rear tire diameter, I would re-think your 3.08 ratio.

Well the 3.08's are what it came with , so a change may be in order . My tire size is 235/75/15

Im pretty sure a 235/75/15 is 28.5-29" diameter.
