"81 K20: Neutral saftey switch/ Back-up lights switch

'81 K20 silverado tilt column

I need a neutral safety switch.

For my '81 I went to auto zone and also looked at rock auto online and they have the wrong switch for my '81 in the book(completely different attachment) Mine has the metal band that attaches to the coloum with two screws

But looks like the 1980 switch appears to be the correct one in the picture auto zone has to order it.

Mine switch only has four terminals. Two for the starter plug, and two for the back-up light plug

The pictures show Seven terminals on a new unit

http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....sn=447&jsn=447

Has anyone replaced their Neutral saftey/ back up light switch on the steering column on a "81 truck and ran into this

says for 1980 looks right except only middle 4 terminals needed

says for '81- wrong

Rick
