Pretty sure these are the last of them.

Seconed too Last pic shows how the outer bumper braces are configured.
Last pic shows the two angled straps from the face plate too the bottom of the face plate are not equal distance from the ends of the plate. I'm assuming these were placed specifically for a warn winches.

I have been keeping a eye out for a decently priced used winch preferably a vintage warn unit even if it needs work and only because it's what belongs on there.

But a question arises on what is the best poundage winch that works well for these trucks
I don't want too get a 6k lb and find out its useless.


I have a line on a 9k. quadratec for a really good price but never heard of them before and Google ing it seems they are only mounted on much lighter jeeps.

I only plan too use this truck as a hunting rig/work truck/toy.
No serious off roading but it will find a few fun spots that I may get stuck in or have too pull others out of.

I would do 2X the weight of your truck. I also have a Toyota Land Cruiser (about 6000 lb) and I installed a Badlands (Harbor Freight: $300) 12000 LB winch on it. I am a light wheeler with occasional go out to find stuff kind of person and I have actually tested my winch to drag my LC across the yard to see if it could. I equate it to being buried in mud to pull it out of the "bog" with all the extra surface area and "suction" that the mud puts on it. Plus, I won;t over-work the winch if it's oversized.

The Badlands may not be brand name, but if you want heavy-pull for light duty price, it worked for me.

I'm not sure what a 71 k20 weighs yet.
But mines gonna be slightly more with the single cly. dump mech.im gonna guesstimate another 300-400#'s.of weight. Back there.

Anyone have an idea what one of these winch bumpers are worth? I have a friend with a chrome one he wants to sell.

thank you very much for posting the detailed pics for me, now i can make brackets for mine.
for what it's worth, i paid 80 bucks for my bumper without brackets, mine aint chrome, just plain old black.
