chevy 454 had bad head gasket, now no compression

had a bad head gasket on chevy 454 generation IV model. replaced it with a mls gasket and had the heads resurfaced and pressure tested. after putting everything back together, now the engine has 0 compression on all 8 cylinders. i adjusted the valve lash twice. what would cause this?
