Fan Switch Probs

Having problems with my fan switch. All of a sudden it started malfunctioning. Wasnt clicking in the proper spots for the different speeds and it seemed to just come off. The knob itself seems to be fine, its not cracked. But inside the faceplate, it seems loose. I assume its worn out. How do these get replaced? My truck is a 1998 K1500.

Re: Fan Switch Probs

Ok, i went to my local NAPA and they couldn't touch the Rock Auto price. But he had a individual switch in stock. Got home, took it apart and heres a pic. Switch was bad and also something inside the cluster unit as well. So i will have to take the switch back and order the cluster. Looks like there is an extension on the switch and it appears broken/gooey, lol. Yes you read that right. Some kind of plastic seems to have melted and that extension wont function correctly. I will leave it all apart until i receive the new cluster. At least now i have full funtions again.
