Places to buy replacement parts ?

I recently picked up something to tinker with, 68 C10 LWB 1/2 ton 2WD, and I've searched thru the site and located quite a few people saying where they "wont" buy parts from.

SO, the question is, where do you prefer to buy your replacement parts from?
Looks like I will be needing a left front fender, inner rockers, core support, inner fenders, wiring harness..... The list will grow the more I dig into it, but for now this should get me started.

Thanks.

Re: Places to buy replacement parts ?

For most replacement parts I use Classic Heartbeat. I've had good luck with Manes as well.

Re: Places to buy replacement parts ?

I live within 3 hours of Classic Heartbeat in Olympia, WA. Wes Hepp is the owner and a member and site sponsor here. The best part about Wes is that he is passionate about these trucks, and won't stock or sell most inferior parts. He has even got manufacturers of aftermarket parts to make certain parts that are harder to find. I bought outer rockers from a different place and had a nightmare installing the passenger side. I scrapped the drivers side rocker I bought and then bought one from Wes. Fit very well and I didn't have to refabricate almost the entire panel.

www.classicheartbeat.com Almost every part I have bought over the last 5 years has come from Wes, and I have yet to be let down. I recently made the 6 hour round trip and meet him. Traded some 1972 door panels that were in great shape for a new inner fender for my rig. I could have stayed at his place all day long and shot the bull... but I had to motor back home at some point.

Wes knows his stuff. Give him a call, or check the website.

Manes, GMCPauls and Classic Heartbeat for me too. I use the LMC website for the pictures.

Re: Places to buy replacement parts ?

The outer floor, rockers and lower a pillar I bought from them recently were all made by key parts.

My first purchase from them but won't be the last
