Blazer/ Jimmy Hickey fuel tank directions

Does anyone know of any directions on how to install a hickey side saddle tank? The previous owner cut the lines and i would like to hook them back up. Not sure how these even work. I think when the main tank runs out of fuel you pull the lever and gravity fills the main tank with fuel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have one of these in my Blazer as well. You are correct that it gravity feeds into the main tank. Hickey sold a gizmo in their catalogue that automatically triggered the flow from the aux tank into the main tank when the main tank got below a certain level. It was called the "HE Pacemaker". I chose to install an electric transfer pump instead that I control with a switch on my dash.

Yea, mine still has the mechanical lever system but all the hoses are cut, do not know which goes where. guess ill have to get under there and look into it a little more. I like your idea with the electrical switch. I prob wont use the tank at all but would like to be able to if need be. Can you post some pics of ur setup? also Post some pics of ur blazer on here, that thing is a beaut!
