60-66 hood and grille combos - Page 5 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So, aside form the hole locations, what are the other differences between the 60-61 and the 64-66 front panel?
I used just a couple of bolts to fasten my 61 grill to my 64, but it was snug and didn't feel quite right.

you can see the indent for the single lamp, and where the 3 new holes need to go, and also how close the high beam wire is...

It has the Chevy letters stamped in along the bottom.

Ok, so I'm new to the 60-66 world. Just acquired may be a 64 or it may be a 63. I read in another thread the cabs on the '60-'63 and '64-'66 are different. Can anyone share the differences?

the first picture is of a 64-66. The second is 60-63. Look at the door and front glass profile. The 60-63 have been referred to as "knee knockers" for obvious reasons. Hope this helped and welcome! You'll find people here are really helpful.

Go for it man. Just know you have to shorten the Chevrolet by 4 or 5 inches. I just removed a small chunk from in between each letter. Here's how it's sits as of last week. I'm painting everything this week. U can see what's been done on my build so far. But here she is.

Awesome! Didn't know that. I do know my cab is indeed a 64. So I'm guessing all front sheet metal in the 60-66 range is all interchangeable?

I'm loving your front end brotha. I acquired a 66 GMC grille as well. And me having a 59 Apache, of course I'm down with 4 headlights! Haha
